Teva Back in the day, the first athletic sandal was created on the Grand Canyon's shores. A creative river guide attached two Velcro watchbands to a pair of outdated flip-flops out of necessity to keep footwear from floating downstream. The original icon was designed to allow individuals to travel freely. They aspire to encourage those who seek out new experiences and connections in whichever form they may take. That self-defining concept of liberty is still valid today. Moments of discovery and awe are what we live for.
