Job Summary
Reports to the Mass General Brigham Senior Director of Emergency Preparedness and Continuity (EP), with oversight and support from the MGB Chief Preparedness and Continuity Officer, the Vice President of Emergency Preparedness and Continuity, and other key leaders. The Department of Emergency Preparedness and Continuity (DEPC) intern assists in and supports planning and coordinating activities for the enterprise Emergency Preparedness and Continuity program initiatives.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provides support for Emergency Preparedness projects and initiatives.
•Supports the Business Continuity Manager in improving and updating MGB’s continuity assessment.
•Attends and supports working group and committee meetings, including the Digital Downtime Enterprise Committee, and other related meetings.
•Prepares agendas and minutes and contributes to discussions.
•Supports development of digital downtime plans, emergency response protocol, and continuity of operation plan development.
•Assists in development of after action reports for exercises and events.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must be a rising undergraduate senior, rising graduate student, or a current graduate student
- Interest in Emergency Management, Business Continuity, continuity of operations, enterprise risk and resilience, healthcare administration, public health.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive/non-public information.
- May have the opportunity to report to MGB hospitals/healthcare facilities outside of normal business hours to manage events that require emergency management.
- Must be available to work on site at assigned enterprise office and hospitals/healthcare facilities.

- This internship will be 40 hours/week for 8-9 weeks with a target start date of early June
